Victory Park - Official Opening

Apr 11 - Sunday, April 13, 2:00 pm

Thank you Kiwanians for spearheading one incredible playground project at Victory Park in Marietta.  As a result of your efforts, 415 volunteers descended on the park, putting aside titles and status symbols to work side by side to build a state-of-the-art play space for children in a part of our community who needed it most.  I am proud of your efforts and commitment to ensuring the success of this project.

Please join us at the park on Sunday for the official grand opening of the playground.  Directions are attached.

Please see the following websites for streaming video and pictures of this massive community effort.

We need your “votes” in support of this most worthwhile project. Remember, for each $20 vote (for your favorite Kiwanian!), you will receive a raffle ticket, which we will then raffle off prizes at the April 3rd luncheon. We will also have the “Royal Coronation“ on that date, too! It should

Business & Public Affairs Help the NICU project

President Bunten attended the October meeting of the Business & Public Affairs Committee to ask for their support in a second NICU project. She asked the Committee to raise approximately $12,000 to fund purchasing several items that would go into a comfort bag that would be given to the parents of premature babies. This amount would cover about 500 bags or a 1-1/2 year supply. The Committee agreed to help on the project. After the meeting, our late member Dr. Rob Lipson indicated that he would match whatever was collected up to $6,000. Before the next meeting, Dr. Lipson was

Babies Need Incredible Care and You!

In case you missed it we kicked off the major emphasis project two weeks ago and the response has been amazing. Our Speaker that day was Brendan McCarthy who has had two premature babies. Brendan told about his son and daughter and the incredible care they received from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kennestone Hospital. NICU does incredible work but they could use our assistance. The goal of The Babies Need Incredible Care and You project is to raise enough money to provide two resources that are of utmost importance to the families who unexpectedly require the services of NICU. The resources are as follows:
