Kiwanis Advisor, Ernie Russell, reports that Karl Schwelm attended the November 27th meeting of the Harrison Key Club to drop off the Toys for Tots box and posters. Karl spoke to the students regarding our project this year. Kee Carlisle also attended the meeting to recruit “ringers” for the Salvation Army at Town Center Mall. The Key Club is still making blankets for the orphanage in Ecuador. They are asking for donations of fleece to continue the project. Their other projects include: Adopt-A-Mile on December 1; Working at the Lewis Elementary School holiday house on November 30 and December 1. Through their social worker, the Key Club is adopting a child for Christmas and they are collecting all things “cars” since this is his favorite subject. Their holiday party is December 11th and the entrance fee is a toy for Toys for Tots. The Key Club donated a Thanksgiving basket to a needy family.
