Soap Box Derby "Speed Secrets" Workshop

Join us November 18 at Jim R Miller Park for the last "Speed Secrets" clinic of the year!  The Clinic will be taught by Al Garren, father of two Local Champions in the Stock, Super Stock and Masters Divisions.   Al has been involved in Soap Box Derby Racing for more than 25 years and knows what it takes to make a car go fast.  This may be your last opportunity to quickly gain what normally takes years or experience to learn.  It will be a great opportunity for you to see what Soap Box Derby Racing is about if you or you know someone interested in racing next year.

We will be hosting a clinic in the Spring, however it will be geared toward new  construction.  I encourage everyone to join us, with or without your race cars. We will go even further in depth than in the prior clinic.

More details will be coming within the next week but we need for anyone that plans to attend to let us know as soon as possible.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

Sunday November 18   12noon until 4pm

If we have several conflicts, the hours will be 1pm until 4:30pm

Please let us know what works best for you as we want to make it as easy as possible to accommodate everyone.

Any of you that have Soap Box Derby Cars you would like to donate to the club for resale please let me know.  Also, we are looking for $1,000 Corporate and $100 Individual Sponsors to cover the cost of our next race, June 14, 2008.  Please make a personal commitment to give or get a sponsor for the 2008 event.
