Human and Spiritual Aims Committee

PURPOSE: Committee is responsible for projects that support spiritual development, human companionship and comfort, counseling and guidance. Committee shall assist the President Elect by securing an individual to give the invocation at the weekly meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinate a Club member, or member of the local clergy, to provide the invocation at each meeting.
  2. Prior to the beginning of each month, give the Program Chair the names of the persons who will give the invocation at each meeting in the coming month.
  3. Assist in giving human and spiritual values to members of Club and community.
  4. Responsible for identifying members who are ill, or have family illness, and making a report to the Club.
  5. Send cards, notes and flowers on behalf of the Club when appropriate.
  6. Notify members of funeral arrangements on the death of a member and coordinate Club participation as appropriate
  7. Plan the Club’s participation in local Prayer Breakfast during National Prayer Month
