Membership Committee

PURPOSE: Committee shall increase membership according to the standards provided in the bylaws and membership goals of the President of Marietta Kiwanis. To instill in new and present members the philosophy and rules of Kiwanis International, as well as orientation and induction of new members into Marietta Kiwanis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promote regular attendance by all members at club meetings.
Provide orientation for new members on the last Thursday of each month.
Provide a meaningful induction ceremony on the last Thursday of each month.
Coordinate new members, welcoming and working with House Committee to have new members assigned to meet and greet.
Consider and submit all membership information forms and recommendations to the Board of Directors at the monthly Board Meetings.
Submit a budget by October 7th.
Present a plan for the year's activity to the President prior to the November Board of Directors meeting.
Hold monthly meeting.
Submit monthly reports prior to next month's Board of Directors Meeting.
Notify On Line Bulletin Editor of all activities that need publicizing.
Encourage the attendance of at least one committee member at each District meeting.
