International Understanding Committee

PURPOSE: To further the membership's knowledge and underdstanding of foreign countries, cultures and customs. To promote Kiwanis as a truly International organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Explore the possibilities of assisting foreign activities on a local level.
Inform the membership of Kiwanis involvement in International Relations.
Submit a budget by October 7th.
Present a plan for the year's activity to the President prior to the November Board of Directors meeting.
Hold a monthly meeting.
Submit monthly reports to the Secretary prior to the next month's Board of Directors meeting.
Notify On Line Bulletin Editor of all activities that need publicizing.
Encourage the attendance of at least one committee member at each District meeting.
Work with the Program Committee chair to include within the weekly program structure specific programs to further international understanding of the club.
