Kids need Kiwanis

Kids need adults who care. That’s why we need you.

Kids are why people join Kiwanis clubs. They’re local groups of like-minded volunteers who make a difference. Friends. Neighbors. Anyone who loves serving together to change children’s lives. In fact, Kiwanians are part of a global network of clubs and members who partner with each other and with organizations whose missions align.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

What We Do

Kiwanis of Marietta develops resources that transform the goodwill and vision of Kiwanians into programs that serve children in our local community.

Art & Music Showcase

The showcase highlights artwork of students grades 6-12th in Cobb County and Marietta City. The music showcases the talent of students 9-12th in Cobb and Marietta. Prizes are awarded and a chance to move forward to District for top recipients. District-level winners are awarded scholarship funds. Free to enter!

Winners advance to compete at the Georgia District of Kiwanis Art & Music Showcase competition sponsored by the Georgia District Kiwanis Foundation.

CSI: Marietta

In 2012 the Kiwanis Club of Marietta adopted as its major focus the Graduate Marietta initiative of the Marietta City Schools (MCS) with a comprehensive approach to literacy and the goal of helping students to graduate prepared. In the 12 years since then, our Club has supported literacy in its various forms.

We’ve now broadened our reach to include all students, from preschool through college, throughout Marietta and rebranded to be Children’s Success Initiative!

Flag Project

The Flag Project was conceived by Kiwanis Past President David Miller in 1997 as a way to raise funds for the Marietta Kiwanis Scholarship fund and other youth service projects. The flags are displayed by Marietta Kiwanians and their friends and family who place the flags around Cobb County on six nationally recognized holidays each year.

9/11 Field of Flags

Each life lost to the senseless and tragic events of September 11, 2001, will be honored and remembered once again by our 6th Field of Flags installation in 2026.

The entire community is invited to participate in what has become one of the largest commemorative events in the nation. We’ll post more information as we approach September 2026.

10 Annual Scholarships

The Marietta Kiwanis Foundation Scholarships described below are made possible through the generous financial gifts of individuals, businesses, and community residents throughout Cobb County. Our scholarship program is also made possible through our Club’s Flag Project where over 1,600 American flags are placed in front of businesses and residences throughout the community six times each year.
